Journeyman Electricians

Full-time · Benefits available

Responsibilities include:

Experience with residential electrical systems required
Knowledge of commercial or municipal electrical systems helpful
Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Repair, inspect, and test electrical power systems, equipment, and components
Schedule tests, inspections, and preventative maintenance
Verify all work meets NEC, state, and city codes
Care for and maintain Action Electric tools, equipment, and vehicles
Manage projects and communicate progress to the supervisor / project manager
Plan ahead and coordinate with employees, inspectors, owners, and customers
Work collaboratively to help the team meet project deadlines
Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with safety requirements
Maintain a professional, positive demeanor on every job

Accounting Clerk / Receptionist

Part-time · ~30 hrs/week · Flexible hours · Vacation / Sick / Holiday pay · Casual dress

Action Electric is a growing electrical contractor in Sioux Falls. We're looking for an Accounting Clerk / Receptionist with a positive attitude, solid computer skills, attention to detail, willingness to be flexible, and an eagerness to learn. Must be willing to make and answer calls to effectively communicate with vendors and customers.

Day-to-day duties:

Accounts Payable entry
Matching packing slips to invoices
Accounts Receivable invoice entry
Service call / job setup
Record customer payments
Prepare bank deposits
Filing and organizing
Answering phone calls
Payroll timecard entry
Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to learn new skills
Professional attitude and appearance
Self-starter, problem solver, proactive when issues arise
Strong multitasking and time-management skills
High School degree or GED required
Two or more years of bookkeeping experience
